Habanero & Chiltepin
El Yucateco
No ratings yet
Two chillies walk into a bottle. One brings the familiar habanero warmth. The other is the little wild card. El Yucateco combines habanero with chiltepin for a bright, zesty sauce with a manageable heat. It’s got enough kick to make itself known, but it won’t completely hijack your dinner. This is the sort of sauce I would keep within easy reach. Try it with seafood, tacos, grilled meats, eggs or pizza. A few drops in soup can also add a lively chilli lift, while a dash in a michelada could make breakfast considerably more interesting.
Sriracha Hot Sauce
Pain Is Good
No ratings yet
Pain Is Good Sriracha is a straightforward little number, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want. Red chilli brings the heat, while cane sugar gives it a gentle sweetness. Vinegar adds the familiar tang, with fried garlic providing a savoury depth underneath it all. At around 6,000 SHU, it has enough heat to wake things up without taking over the entire meal. I’d happily splash it over eggs, noodles, fried rice, burgers or a bacon sandwich. It’s the sort of sauce you can leave on the table and reach for without first considering your life choices. A very useful quality in a Sriracha.

Roze Bunker Madame Ginger Syrup
No ratings yet
Roze Bunker Madame Ginger Syrup is a really special product, for several reasons. It’s made with rescued (rejected) ginger and local Madame Jeanette peppers, which is fantastic for the Dutch food chain. Plus, it’s extra warming thanks to the clove and turmeric, while being nicely balanced by lime leaf and fresh citrus. But what can you do with this Madame Ginger syrup? You can make spicy soft drinks with it, or a spicy cocktail! For this, use a ratio of 1:8. Our favorite is a twist on a Dark & Stormy cocktail, but with this syrup. These are the same people who made the Fruitslagers Madame Ginger hot sauce, by the way! Origin: Culemborg, Netherlands Contents: 340 ml

Hott Garlic & Miso Sauce
No ratings yet
This is not a delicate little table sauce. This is a rich, savoury flavour bomb that marches straight across your tongue in heavy boots. The garlic comes in deep and earthy rather than sharp, while the red miso adds a salty umami richness that makes everything taste more substantial. Then the Scotch Bonnets and ginger begin building heat steadily in the background until suddenly your forehead starts glistening like a Victorian ghost story. Absolutely magnificent with ramen, grilled beef, mushrooms, dumplings or anything involving melted cheese. One of those sauces that makes you pause halfway through dinner and mutter “good lord” to yourself.
Mini White Truffle Hot Sauce
Truff

This refined little number has stepped politely past its Best Before date 01/02/2026, so I’ve adjusted the price to reflect its seasoned status. Let us be clear — Best Before concerns peak flavour, not safety. It may have softened slightly in brightness, but it remains perfectly fit for civilised drizzling. Breakfast, lunch, dinner. This wonderful sauce elevates the flavour of any dish and goes on literally everything! Just the right balance of heat and harmonious truffle notes. If you love the sophisticated flavour of truffles, then this sauce is for you.

Habanero & Ghost Pepper
El Yucateco

Ghost chilli has arrived. Everyone remain calm. El Yucateco Habanero & Ghost brings together familiar habanero heat with the deeper punch of Ghost chilli. It has enough fire to make itself known without wandering into the truly deranged end of the chilli spectrum. This is one for tacos, grilled meats, burgers, wings and anything else that needs a serious chilli kick. Start with a little, see how you get on, then proceed according to your level of courage. A useful lesson from Dr Burnorium: the bottle may look innocent. The Ghost has other plans.
