There are sauces you pull out for special occasions, and then there’s Spice ’N’ Nicey — the sort you end up reaching for with everything because it makes everything better. Sweet upfront, with a warm jalapeño glow and a bold slap of garlic, it balances like a tightrope walker who has no fear of falling. I have thrown it on eggs, noodles, chips, roasted veg, even a bloody cheese toastie — and it never once felt out of place. It is versatile to the point of being dangerous, the sort of bottle that empties long before you realise you have a problem.

Doomed Hot Sauce
Hellfire Hot Sauce
No ratings yet
According to Hellfire this Doomed hot sauce is the hottest sauce in the world (without artificial chili extract) with an official Scoville score of a whopping 2.7 million SHU. That’s insanely hot and this heat comes from habanero, trinidad scorpion and a natural pepper extract of a mind blowing 6.6 million Scoville! This sauce was made especially for the movie “Hellboy” and has now been given a new look and name. Note: this is only for people who can handle hot sauce extremely well. Not for children, people with poor health or other risk groups. The hottest sauce in the world (without the addition of extracts) is in our opinion Karma Ashes 2 Ashes. So this sauce may be a worthy substitute if you absolutely do not want any extract in your hot sauce. Origin: Lake Geneva, Wisconsin (US) Content: 148ml

Eaten Alive Fermented Hot Sauce – Raw Kimchi
No ratings yet
Kimchi in a hot sauce bottle. Frankly, this is the sort of nonsense Dr B can get behind. Raw Kimchi takes that unmistakable Korean savoury character and makes it considerably easier to deploy. Fermented chilli brings the foundation, while kimchi, gochugaru and miso pile on the depth. Garlic and onion keep things firmly in savoury territory. It has plenty of character without demanding that you build an entire meal around it. Eggs, noodles, rice, dumplings, grilled meat or vegetables can all benefit from a good splash. It also makes an excellent excuse to investigate whatever leftovers are lurking in the fridge. Fermentation, chilli and umami in one bottle. Your leftovers never stood a chance.

Mic’s Chilli Naga Knockdown Damn Hot Sauce
No ratings yet
Naga Knockdown isn’t just a hot sauce—it’s a full-on flavour assault. The Naga Jolokia hits with a slow, creeping heat that sneaks up and lingers just long enough to make your tongue sweat with delight. Beneath the burn, you’ll notice fruity, almost tropical notes that balance the fire beautifully. I’ve spooned it over roasted meats, stewed beans, and even sampled it straight from the bottle—each time, it delivers a punch that’s thrilling but surprisingly manageable for the brave. A sauce for those who respect heat but crave genuine flavour.
Raw Heat Vintage 69′ Hot Sauce
Pain Is Good
No ratings yet
Raw Heat Vintage 69′ brings a solid habanero kick, backed up by smoky chipotle, garlic and tomato. There’s a good savoury depth here, with the malt vinegar adding the sharpness you’d expect from a proper table hot sauce. The heat is noticeable from the start, but this isn’t some extract-fuelled monstrosity that obliterates everything in its path. You can actually taste what’s going on, which is generally a useful quality in a hot sauce. I’d reach for it with burgers, wings, tacos, eggs or grilled meat. The smoky chipotle makes it particularly good when there’s a bit of char involved, while the habanero gives dinner enough of a nudge to keep things interesting. Raw Heat, then. Not quite the apocalyptic event the name might suggest. Still plenty of bite, though.
