Raw Heat Vintage 69′ Hot Sauce
Pain Is GoodRaw Heat Vintage 69′ brings a solid habanero kick, backed up by smoky chipotle, garlic and tomato. There’s a good savoury depth here, with the malt vinegar adding the sharpness you’d expect from a proper table hot sauce. The heat is noticeable from the start, but this isn’t some extract-fuelled monstrosity that obliterates everything in its path. You can actually taste what’s going on, which is generally a useful quality in a hot sauce. I’d reach for it with burgers, wings, tacos, eggs or grilled meat. The smoky chipotle makes it particularly good when there’s a bit of char involved, while the habanero gives dinner enough of a nudge to keep things interesting. Raw Heat, then. Not quite the apocalyptic event the name might suggest. Still plenty of bite, though.
