Tubby Tom’s Buffanero – Honey Butter Habanero Buffalo Hot Sauce

Buffalo sauce has a reputation for being rather one-dimensional. Vinegar, chilli, butter. Job done. Buffanero clearly didn’t get the memo. Habanero brings a fruity warmth, while honey and butter give the sauce a richer, rounder character. There’s still enough tang to keep things lively, with garlic and smoky notes lurking in the background. This is an excellent candidate for chicken wings, but don’t stop there. Try it over crispy chicken, chips or roasted vegetables. It would also make a rather good dip when mixed with mayonnaise. Essentially, it’s buffalo sauce with its shirt unbuttoned one extra notch.
