Pretty NamNam XO Style Chili Crisp is an umami bomb, inspired by XO sauce from Hong Kong. That umami punch comes from fermented beans, shiitake, shoyu powder and nori. But this German crispy chili oil has so much more depth! Fried onion, garlic, tomato, ginger, smoked salt, cinnamon, star anise and bay leaf make it a beautifully balanced chili oil. With a chili oil, it’s obviously meant to pack some heat too, and that spice comes from Sichuan pepper and red pepper. Absolutely delicious with anything that could use a good umami boost!
